The Cole Group executive team has 25 years of combined experience in the areas of high school athletics; National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA/JUCO) navigation and recruiting; sports counseling, and athletic conditioning. Our mission is to educate others about the unique needs of student-athletes through advocacy, collaboration, and consultation.
The goal of The Cole Group is threefold: Dream Big. Think Big. Play Big.

COLIN COLE
Mr. Colin Cole is the Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Cole Group. Mr. Cole oversees business strategy and day-to-day management. Mr. Cole received his B.A. in African American Studies from The University of Iowa. In addition to his current position, he is entering his fourth year as a defensive tackle for the Green Bay Packers.
While launching The Cole Group, Colin managed to juggle the responsibilities placed on professional athletes. Not only is he busy with his athletic career, he is very active in community service projects and making personal appearances to benefits and community events. Prior to playing for the Green Bay Packers, Colin spent brief stints with the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent coming out of The University of Iowa.
Before entering the National Football League (NFL), Colin was a four-year football letterman as a defensive tackle for The University of Iowa. While there, he played all four seasons, two as a starter, and earned first-team All-Big Ten and second-team All-American honors as a senior, and third-team selection as a junior. In addition to Colin's responsibilities as a student and athlete, he was selected as the team representative for The University of Iowa's I-Club - a student-athlete advisory committee dedicated to promoting community service and presenting student-athlete concerns to the Iowa Athletic Administration.
In high school, Colin was a two-sport letterman student-athlete in football and wrestling. Colin holds the Florida state title in wrestling, heavyweight division from South Plantation High School, located in Plantation, Florida. He also had the distinction of being named All-County and All-State in football and wrestling.
KAYE WILLIAMS COLE, Ph.D., N.C.C.
Dr. Kaye W. Cole, N.C.C. is the Co-Founder & Director of Educational Services for The Cole Group. In addition to her position with The Cole Group, Dr. Cole is an adjunct professor in the School of Human Services at Capella University. She received her B.A. in Sociology, M.Ed. in K-12 School Counseling, and Ed.S. in Counselor Education from The University of South Carolina. In July 2006, she received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision with a cognate in Sports Psychology from The University of Iowa. Her research interests include counseling high school and college student-athletes, multiculturalism in schools, sports counseling, and school counseling related issues.
While enrolled as a master's level student at The University of South Carolina, Dr. Cole gained professional experience as a sixth grade special education teacher, school counseling intern, college co-instructor, and student-athlete consultant.
As a doctoral student at The University of Iowa, Dr. Cole was given the distinction of being named a National Holmes Scholar - a partnership which promotes the professional development of emerging scholars of color. During this time, she managed to deliver numerous national, regional, state, and local presentations, teach several undergraduate and graduate courses, and review conference proposals at the national level. She also worked as a graduate assistant for Athletic Student Services at The University of Iowa. In addition to teaching and research, she served as president of the Rho Upsilon chapter of Chi Sigma Iota (2005) - a national honor society for students, professional counselors, and counselor educators; and committee member of The University of Iowa's Minority Student-Athlete Enrichment Board.
Dr. Cole is currently a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), American School Counseling Association (ASCA), Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD), American Educational Research Association (AERA), Chi Sigma Iota, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is also certified as a National Certified Counselor and school counselor in the state of South Carolina. In June 2005, Dr. Cole was appointed to serve as a board member for the Green Bay Packers Women's Association.
Dr. Cole's most recent endeavors include consulting with schools within the Green Bay School District regarding anti-bullying programming and services related to multiculturalism. Additionally, Dr. Cole and others are working with the American Counseling Association (ACA) to develop resources and networking opportunities for those interested in sports counseling.
In high school, Dr. Cole was a two-sport student-athlete in basketball and cross-country.
RICHEY WILLIAMS
Mr. Richey Williams is the Director of Football Operations for The Cole Group. Mr. Williams manages and oversees The Colin Cole Competitive Edge Football Clinic. Mr. Williams received his B.A. in Economics and Certificate of Entrepreneurship from The University of Iowa. In addition to his current position, he works as an intern in football recruiting at The University of Iowa Football Office.
Prior to The Cole Group, Richey received a four year athletic scholarship to attend The University of Iowa, where he competed as a defensive back. During this time, he lettered two years, volunteered in the community, was named the Iowa Team Leader Award (four times), and received the Iowa Football Win During the Week Award.
In high school, Richey was a two-sport letterman student-athlete in football and track and field. He holds a South Carolina state title in the Long Jump from North Augusta High School, located in North Augusta, South Carolina. While in high school, Richey had the distinction of being named Who's Who in Scholar Student-Athletes (2001), and North Augusta's Star Student-Athlete of the Week. He also managed to stay active by coaching a little league football team, reading to elementary school students, and working at a literacy summer camp.
Richey's current endeavors include pursuing football scouting at the NFL level and developing and organizing football clinics for professional athletes.
